I have had a busy few weeks of being inspired. To celebrate my birthday last week my Mother and I visited the Quilting Exhibition at the V & A.
It was very interesting seeing all the quilts through the ages and how they stimulate memories of warmth, comfort and security, all carrying their own hidden history.
I was particularly moved by the quilt that had been produced by soldiers who had been injured in conflict who used the needlework as a form of therapy.
