What a busy week i've had with work, the children's sports day and organising for a party for my birthday on Saturday.
Bruce decorated the garden with lights and candles and it looked stunning. We had excellent weather, gorgeous food and a theme of "beards" as an ice breaker which went off a treat!
I got inspired by the recent quilting exhibition I went to and made a patchwork type of beard.
My friend who makes felted toys made an excellent felted beard and another friend even had a beard bag that she had picked up in Vancouver on a past holiday. My friend Steve in Switzerland even got inspired to make me beard card with a photo of himself that you could cut out and make into a mask so his beard could be at the party even if he could not!
I have learnt so much about beards and had no idea there were so many, "Donegal", "Verdi" and "Friendly Mutton Chops" to mention a few! There are even websites dedicated to beards!!
