With my husband Bruce working long hours making a gigantic shower head for a garden party that Prince Charles is hosting on recycling, I decided to visit my friends in Devon with the children.
Even though the weather was lousy, the children learned about animation by making and filming plasticine characters, as part of an activity for children Torbay Council was holding in Paignton.
We visited the beach and saw some amazing sights such as those mentioned below.
Blackberry Camp.
We have visited this old Iron Age settlement before for an Easter egg hunt and there is something truly magical about the place. There is a central area with trees grouped all around and a great place for children to play and have picnics.
As the weather was so bad at the beach- (fog and rain in August)we thought we'd see what Blackberry Camp was looking like.
It looked absoulutely amazing and really was rather spooky. Thought i'd share a few photos with you.
Beer Beach Devon- the mad seagulls!
Beer beach is a great favourite of ours particularly as there is a shop on the front selling fresh fish. It was quite a mad sight to see many seagulls scavaging on a load of crabs and fish that sailors had dumped on the shore.
Bruce's latest work.
the gigantic Shower Head!
The finished head in 2 pieces- looks quite space like!
