I am a big fan of the American illustrators Alice and Martin Provensen.
Martin created the very recognisable Tony The Tiger mascot for Kellogg's in 1952.
They designed many children's books including several for Little Golden Books. They have been on the New York Times list of 10 best illustrated books 8 times for books such as "An Owl and Three Pussycats" and illustrated 50 books in all before Martin died in 1987. Alice is still alive and continues to write and illustrate.
I love the linear feel of the drawings along with the colours and naive style of painting.
While looking through Etsy the other day I came across a great American site that sells vintage product; http://www.etsy.com/shop/kelleystreetvintage.
They were selling some of the Provenson's pages from books so I could not resist and ended up buying a few others too.
See the prints I bought of theirs below.
