Books that inspire me

Thought i'd write about this lovely book that was given to my middle child a few years ago.
It is called The Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis, illustrated by Gwen Millward.
Such a sweet story about a girl who finds a bog baby and wants him to be her pet.You are never quite sure if the baby is imaginary or can just be seen by children.
He got ill because he was used to being in the wild and the girl had to let him go eventually but she realised that this was the best thing to do. They never saw him again but her daughter last year saw lots of bog babies or so she said.
I love the illustrations, they are very organic and full of life and also full of lots of details.I have never really used watercolours and it is a nice loose style that I should try sometime.
