My Recent Travels

It's been a busy week or so where I have certainly done some travelling.
While visiting a supplier last week, I stopped off to see 1 of my stockists, Petticoat Lane in Llandudno.
The shop was opened last year and there are some lovely displays of product in old dressers and in old cabinets. The shop has a real vintage feel to it and it was great to see my stock on display.

I am starting to receive more pictures of children wearing my merchandise so please continue to send them in.
This is Alys who looks very cute in her retro folk flower blue sun hat at the beach.

Nostalgic Manchester

I stayed in Manchester for a night and it was great to go back to this city that I know so well that holds so many memories.
I studied Printed Textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University and lived, worked and partied hard in this city for quite a few years after.
I was catching up with a few old college friends.
My 1 friend has an extremely eclectic house crammed full of vintage fabrics, crockery, and antiques through to kitsch items like her Elvis singing phone and giant decorative cross on the stairs. She is a real inspiration and my children always love staying there!
I thought I would show a chair that my friend has recently upholstered- a very talented lady!

This bag was a find for my friend while on holiday in New York. A very bizarre sock monkey (my friend has a collection of these) that turns out into a fabric bag- completely uncommercial but great!

Bristol Visit.

Bristol has always been one of my favourite cities and so it was great to have the opportunity to meet one of my old school friends for the day and catch up.
I spotted this great PVC coat while coming out of the train station.

We visited the Lido in Clifton that was originally built in the 1950's and has been recently been renovated very tastefully.
They offer Spa packages which we thought were very reasonable.
For £30 you can use the pool, sauna and all facilities for an hour and then dine in their restaurant for a 2 course meal. The restaurant was given an excellent review by Jay Rayner last year and really was very good.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this place and great to be able to swim out of doors!
