Royal Wedding and Best of British!
I am not much of a royalist but yes I am afraid I ended up being swept up in it all after having to prepare sandwiches for a red, white and blue tea party at school and helping my girls to make recycled wedding dresses and hats for the party! I ended up watching bits of the wedding if only to educate my children as to who the royal family are!
My 6 year old who still loves the idea of princes and princesses was somewhat disappointed with the image of the Queen who did not look grand enough but then wanted to know if any Queens have ended up in prison, and ended up researching Mary Queen of Scots!
If nothing else hopefully it will make us British Designers more in vogue and help to boost trade.
It was therefore great to get a mention on the Bubble blog for last week. This is the trade fair that focuses entirely on children's brands that I will be exhibiting at for the third time in June at Islington Design Centre in London.
Entitled Red, White and Blue the piece highlighted some of the best British home-grown talent selected for this June’s trade fair.

Devon and bluebells.
As I have said before we love Devon and visit as often as we can.
It was great to discover a new beach along the Sidmouth coast, Ladram Bay whose rocks were a stunning colour and really reminded us of being on a beach in Thailand.
Blackberry Camp for Easter Egg Hunt.
I have posted pictures before in the eerie fog of this old iron age settlement. It is one of my favourite places and we picked a truly stunning weekend for an Easter egg hunt when the bluebells were at their best.
Nuneham Courtney Arboretum.
This arboretum is not far from where I live and another favourite place to visit. Again the bluebells were absolutely stunning here too so I thought I would post a few pictures.
